What is Blitz Chess?
Chess Terms : Blitz Chess Explained
Blitz chess (also called speed chess) is a form of chess in which each player is allotted a very short time—typically three to five minutes—for the entire game. Blitz games are fast-paced and often feature intuitive play rather than deep calculation. FIDE classifies blitz as games where each player has 10 minutes or less. Blitz chess has grown enormously in popularity through online platforms. See also bullet chess and rapid chess.
