Chess Terms : Colorbound Explained

Colorbound

Colourbound (or colorbound) describes a piece that can only access squares of one colour. The bishop is the only standard chess piece that is colourbound—a bishop that starts on a light square can never reach a dark square, and vice versa. This property gives rise to concepts such as the wrong bishop and opposite-coloured bishops.
