I am a science professor who loves gardening and pickleball. I played a lot of tournament chess when I was younger but took a 20 year hiatus to raise my 2 kids with my wife. I returned to chess a decade ago when my friend introduced me to this site. The pandemic is driving me nuts, and one thing that has kept me sane is playing chess.
