(I thought about using the word "genocide" but I'm going to stay consistent and use the term only with regard to wholesale murder based on ethnicity.)

For those who don't like to click on random urls, this is a chart showing Jewish populations from 1926 and 2026 in 11 Muslim/Arab countries. According to the chart, the Jewish population has decreased in that time from almost 500,000 to under 15,500, a decrease of about 97%.

In the lands now covered by Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, non-Jewish (i.e., almost all Arab) population has increased from 662,000 to over 7.7 million, an increase of over 1,000%.

I ran this through three AI LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini) and, while they differed on the details (Gemini says the decrease in Jewish population in Arab countries is actually closer to 99% ), they all confirm the underlying point.

Under Israeli control, Arab populations have grown over 10x while Jewish populations under Arab rule have fallen 97% or more.

There has been ethnic cleansing in the Middle East, just not the direction you've been told.

"But the settlers are mean"

Yes, there are Israeli jerks too. And the government hasn't cracked down on them enough. True. Hopfully, that will change under a new government.

But fundamentally, the Arabs/Muslims want (and try) to cleanse the region of Jews (not Israelis - JEWS!) while Israelis, by and large, just want to live in peace.

Therein lies the difference.

And you are aware that Israel took steps to fetch the jewish population "home"?

Did it say how much this changed the numbers above?

What causes the decrease of Jewish populations in Arab states?

I mean, under Saddam Hussein, there were plenty of Jews in Iraq, weren’t there?

And if there are decreases in populations… is it action or reaction?

Not that I’m saying that Jews are afforded little room, personally, I find it offensive to attack anyone on religious basis.
But two wrongs don’t make a right. It only feeds the circle of hatred.

Yes, it was called "rescuing" them from devastating persecution.

Israel encourages American and European Jews to come as well, but only a small fraction do. People don't like to uproot, especially from a place their families lives for millenia. They moved from the Arab countries mainly because they were forced, by expulsion, persecution and pogroms.

What is that question but (albeit half-hearted) defense of persecuting non-Israeli Jews to punish them for Israeli government actions?

That Israel welcomes Jewish refugees obviously matters, which is why the Muslim countries don't do the same. If Egypt or Jordan or Syria or Lebanon ir Iraq or Iran or anyone would have encouraged the "displaced" Palestinians to come, they wouldn't be able to whine about Israel as much to distract their people from their own brutal incompetence.

The question has notihing to do with that.

Without numbers on how the Jewish population of Israel has changed and how the Arab population in other countries has changed I can only come to the conclusion that this effect is likely the result of Jews moving to Israel i.e. it sounds like Jewish controlled dynamic which is being spun into ethnic cleansing with carefully selected stats. The increase in Arabs is likely due to Jordan's occupation of Judea AKA the West Bank when Israel was founded.

According to Google AI, when those numbers of Jews in various countries decreased by less than a million over that time Israel's population of Jews went up by a similar amount as of 1950. This cutoff date keeps us from being confused by the influx of Russian Jews in the 1990s since we're just talking about Muslim countries.

1. Of course it's mostly Jews moving to Israel - because they were pushed OUT of their home countries, like Morocco, Syria and Iran.

Ummm. Dude. The total number of Jews in those countries was under 500,000 to begin with. Obviously, the decrease has to be less than a million.

Jews have moved to Israel from all over, obviously. But generally, it's 5% or maybe 10% - not 97%. When every last Jew "moves" out of a country (as is the case in half of those countries), it's not because they suddenly up and chose to move.

I think part of our difference in perspective is that you see Palestinians as being "really from Arabia" instead of being indigenous Philistines.

I see the fact that these people - the Palestinians are being removed from their ancestral homeland as being a major factor in calling this a genocide.

If you don't want to call removing an entire ethnic group from their ancestral lands through warfare and violence genocide, I am reluctant to call pressuring a diaspora group to leave one's homeland ethnic cleansing.

You need some more detail, like what time period are you referring to? "Pushed out" as of when? Are you including the 1940's? Or are you citing relatively recent Events?

Any links or articles detailing this? What deliberate actions are being taken to push Jews away? By whom?

I didn't click on your FB link; but if it's really just a chart, it would be lacking.

It's a chart saying nearly all the Jews left Muslim countries some time over the last 100 years while the Arab population of Israel increased dramatically.

Palestinians did not have a homeland in Israel. They lived under the Ottoman Empire. It was an Ottoman Caliphate. Then after WWI it became part of the British Empire. Palestinians lived under the British. Both Arabs and Jews up to 1948 lived under the British. They had no country or homeland.
