@wildgrass saidDo you like Bessent?
I'm pretty sure she would not have hired a bunch of kooky podcasters who don't know what they're doing to run our government and invade Iran. So that puts us at a better baseline than our present state.
@wildgrass saidI’d love to see a contest of your cognitively powerful and critically thinking old people vs the dumber young generation where you compete over who can identify AI imagery or how to find the series you want to watch amongst the many remote controls and streaming services available in the typical modern home. That doesn’t mean we are less intelligent.
There’s a reason smart people have been associated with technology for as long as I’ve been alive.
See, here you're looking at the margins. The highly intelligent will always exist. But the average human intelligence is declining. And their intelligence is declining because they spend 15 HOURS on their phones eve ...[text shortened]... person's brain doesn't do those things as well as in prior generations. And those people also vote.
Or who could more efficiently program macro commands into modern drones.
@AverageJoe1 saidHe's just a rich guy out of touch. A former hedge fund manager presiding over a Treasury that is $40 trillion in the red? What's not to like? All trends point to more hedging. He's literally hedging America. I hear he has a plan to reduce debt by giving more money to rich people.
Do you like Bessent?
How about energy prices? Mortgage rates? Not on his radar.
@AThousandYoung saidYes, again, I have conceded already that there will always be intelligent people in the world, but our collective average intelligence is shrinking due to tech automation of cognition.

Claude could do the drone programming, no need for a human to get involved in that.
Thinking. That's what I'm referring to. The average human does less of that now, by choice, therefore we are dumber. Thinking is hard. Chatbots are already smart. Why be smart if we don't have to?
Except, again, we run into the one person one vote issue. We run into another problem where a dumber society may tend to make dumber decisions, on average. They're looking down at their phone and walking headlong into moving traffic. Or for example, a dumb person might vote for a serial conman reality TV personality who pretends he's a fascist dictator. Maybe the solution is to start engaging in thinking like we do now with exercise. Instead of providing citizenship proof to vote, perhaps we should adopt a system where one needs to have an intelligence greater than an above average 5th grader before they can vote?
EDIT: Or another solution. Maybe we just let the chatbots run governments instead of politicians? That's I think what the Sam Altmans of the world are thinking about now.
@wildgrass saidWho' you 'hear' that from?

Send us a link htat he hedges America. That he wants to ruing america, in other words. zzzzzz
Tell us that he is out of touch.
🤔
Does he offend you when he says he will economically strangle Iran? I like it, you don't. I bet you and Maruder want the Clancy child Murderer to walk. (Note the diff in 'murder' and other methods to end a life).
@AverageJoe1 saidNo I think it's a good idea to economically strangle Iran. Great idea. It's a much, much better idea than the other idea 6 months ago to bomb Iran. That idea was dumb and just drove up gas prices, probably forever.

Bessent have any ideas about gas prices? About mortgage rates? How about inflation? That's bad now, too. I tried to buy a bag of almonds the other day, and they cost $12. People's hourly wages now are in some cases lower than the cost of a bag of almonds. Bad news bears.
@wildgrass saidYou have allowed your liberal bent to make a fool of you once again…
Do you ever go outside in a busy, crowded public place and just look around at "our team"? Yikes. Its a combination of full throated morbidly obese, pompous punks with phone addictions, or you're in your pajamas at 2 in the afternoon. What the heck happened?
Your people? 74% are overweight and 43% are obese. 40% are carrying credit card debt. A Netflix subscription and a ...[text shortened]... ther America. Stop being so dumb.
Anyone want to disagree with this? America is in steep decline.

@shavixmir saidIt is common sense. Your body needs protein. If you don't eat enough protein you will still be hungry. But yeah, I have proof.
You have proof that the eating of said foods is what is distribing the signal from the stomach to the brain?

@AverageJoe1 saidStop lying. He admitted he murdered him as a condition of his plea deal. You know, the plea deal that might allow him to get away with murder.

How many times did I suggest he might "get away with murder"?
Your lying is truly pathetic!

It's not because of their AI data centers.
