He is an absolutely amazing person. All his films about the nature and wildlife in different parts of the world are fantastic work - the time, dedication and patience it has taken him to show us the beauty of the world. He has been asked why he has not stressed even more the dangerous balance of our planet and environments. I believe he answered he rather shows us the beauty of the world that we have to protect together.

Recently, he has been on a crusade against plastic in the environment, specifically microplastics in our oceans.

On this day, June 10th 1540, Thomas Cromwell was arrested for treason and imprisoned in the Tower of London to await his execution 6 weeks later.

"Cromwell’s downfall began with his orchestration of Henry VIII’s marriage to Anne of Cleves in 1539. Cromwell believed the alliance with the German Protestant princes would strengthen England’s political position, but Henry disliked Anne from the start, and by early 1540 it was clear the marriage was unnecessary and unwanted by the king. Cromwell’s attempt to push the king into the marriage was seen as a serious misjudgment, giving his rivals at court the chance to undermine him."
