@Very-Rusty saidI don't have any influence over the things which might induce me to pay for a subscription here. I just decided to no longer pay for features I don't use or appreciate. Adverts don't bother me; if Russ gets revenue from them, that's fine by me.
@moonbus,
Oh I see, trying to see if by not being a Paying Subscriber you can change things. a Protest with lack of a better word.
I am sure there will be a vote on it at some point.
I don't know if it will improve things or just make them worst.
Yet to be seen.

Ok, I thought it might be a Protest of some sort.
I hadn't thought cash flow may be an issue with you.

@Very-Rusty saidFrugality is a virtue of necessity when retired, living on a small pension, with a dog who weighs as much as I do and eats more than I do.

@Very-Rusty saidQuite right. I was in a clan, some years ago, and it was fun for a season, but it did not suit my playing style. I prefer to play a small number of games well. My playing strength goes down exponentially with the number of concurrent games. I study books while playing, trying to steer for end games which are known/published; I could not keep them all separate if I were playing five or ten simultaneously. I also analyze post-mortem, especially my losses. I replay finished games many times, searching for better continuations for both sides.
@moonbus,
You weren't in any clans anyways were you? I don't believe you like playing a lot of games at once do you?

I remember we played a number of very interesting games, with post-mortem analysis. You played an opening unfamiliar to me, and that expanded my knowledge of opening theory and praxis. Thank you for the opportunity.
BTW, I detest playing engines; I learn nothing from playing engines, except: Never leave anything en prise or unprotected.

I believe the opening I played was defence one and called the "Pirc" which can transposte into other defences. I believe the one and only game I ever won against you in countless games was using the "Pirc".
At least I can say I beat you once...LOL... I was kind of lucky too on that one.
I really should follow your example and go over my loses as we never learn anything from our wins. I just have so many games going time doesn't allow me to do so.

@Very-Rusty saidI might have struggled on, a piece down, but I was so disgusted with myself that I threw in the towel immediately. Of course, we could play again, if you wish. Send me a challenge any time.
@moonbus,
Give me that one win as it will never happen again. I am no where near your level of play or do I ever expect to get there. 😉
