It would have been a cowardly act for a police officer sworn to protect to allow a violent mob to reach defenseless House members and their staff with the real possibility they would have been maimed, killed and/or held hostage by these vicious fanatics who had shown no qualms against attacking even armed police in riot gear. And who continued advancing towards the House ...[text shortened]... ew his gun.

He did what he had to do; Babbitt's death was the result of her own criminal actions.
You are delusional. You expect us to believe Ashli could not have been arrested instead of killed?

And the capitol police were welcoming protesters in at one of the doors, something we have debated before and we can go over the timeline of the events that day again if that is what I have to do to get you to stop fooling yourself.

So attempt to break in to the capitol building, get shot by cops doing his job, family of said insurrectionist gets huge reward. I bet they will be right there the next time some of the latest insurrectionists try it again, having had practice already.

Sinister on so many levels., like now making Babbitt a martyr so they ...[text shortened]... e the name X, anyway Truth social (oxymoron) no doubt will be jumping up and down with AI blessings.
Ray Epps should have been shot instead of Ashli. He did far more to cause a riot than she did.

You are overwhelming me with details. This is really pretty simple. They could have arrested Ashli but killed her instead. She was unarmed so she was not a threat to anybody.

That is why sonhouse and suzi have to make up lies about cops being killed. Then when that was proven false they made up a fake cause of heart attacks and suicides. So now they want us to believe ...[text shortened]... s free.

They really want us to believe killing her saved lives. But no cops died that day. None.
Please refer to my response to marauder. And you crack me up talking about so much detail my God you lunatics are all that detail. How can you file a Wikipedia article as being too much detail looks like it will be a long day and a lot of fun to get the response of Al as to what should’ve happened. There’s only one answer for him and that is that no one should’ve done anything at the capital and just open the doors. Funny thing is, I have read that they did open the doors for those losers, I would’ve loved to have been an employer after all these years of some loser, employee being seen at one of these events and been able to fire him. I think firing is cool, a great American past time.

No, the one cop couldn't have arrested the entire group of violent protesters who were smashing the windows and trying to get to the defenseless civilians in the House chamber. They would have overwhelmed him.

You saw the video. https://www.nbcwashington.com/video/news/local/video-shows-fatal-shooting-of-ashli-babbitt-at-u-s-capitol/2535527/

Babbitt was the first to try to get through the broken window, the rest would have followed if not for the officers' action.

Does the same rules apply when police encounter a black thug resisting arrest?

Geez. A mob, and you know everybody on first name basis? Man y’all are really on this topic. I can’t imagine sitting at Starbucks hashing out what did happen, what could’ve happened, what should’ve happened on January 6 20 years ago or was it 15old news people, the world is not perfect..
We too are a bit upset ourselves about a few things. I worry every night that we will cancel Thanksgiving, for instance. What will I do with my family on that Thursday? Will it be legal under your new laws for me to have a turkey? Will you be sending enforcers around to our homes?
You are one angry, bunch of people. And to top it off, you literally want the stuff of other people. Some of us have devised methods by which to shelter that which you are after, so we will see how that goes.

Dam, did I miss this. You seem to be saying that the cop did what he had to do in the case of Ashley Babbitt.
As I have often said, you are a confusing bunch of people. I know you don’t really think that he “had to shoot her”, and neither do I, so you must mean something else by that. What do you mean?

You don't know that. How can you possibly know an arrest would not have deterred other protesters from entering? And you are still evading the CP letting in protesters politely about the same time in an outside door at a different part of the building. I again challenge you to find a timeline that contradicts this.

And Ray Epps told people to do what she did and he got probation. He admitted he "orchestrated it" in a text message admitting his guilt of inciting a riot. When are you going to accept this is not normal? I know you don't really want to defend Ray Epps, but you will anyway because of partisan loyalty alone.

How is Ashli worse than Ray Epps? You know she is not. The only reason you have defended Ray Epps is because you think he was a fed doing a good thing setting up Trump. If you were capable of impartial thinking you would want Ray Epps executed for what he did.

You secretly accept Ray Epps was a fed. You would never defend him unless you did. He did good as far as you are concerned.

no1 will post no unbiased timeline comparing when Ashli was shot and when the CP were letting in protesters at one of the doors of the CB. He will probably avoid doing that like the plague because he is terrified it will confirm everything I said.

no1 is terrified of the truth. It would shatter his world to even attempt to prove anything because it would prove me right. It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Kind of like you convinced communism is bad. Do you remember my whack a mole comparison?

He either had to shoot her or allow a violent mob to descend on a group of innocent civilians he was sworn to protect a few feet away.

Your other nutty conspiracy theories are irrelevant.

All that matters legally is what was the situation at the scene where and when Babbitt was shot.

Did you say communism is not bad? Please write a thread on that.??? you won’t.

I don’t care about January 6, and certainly do not know the ins and outs of it as you and Sunhouse do.
So I will spare you my comments on January 6. Or you could just look at my Wikipedia contribution above and then we can all draw our conclusions from that and I will not be thinking we will have the same conclusions.!!!

Now, as too boring, this is boring, so tell us about communism, that will not be boring. Examples of where it has worked would be helpful,
