@no1marauder saidI think the republicans are narrowly going to hold both houses.
Don't we always have one?
I'll start and be on the "conservative" side of a Blue wave.
235 House seats for the Dems; 51-49 for them in the Senate.
I’ve seen one too many polls being completely wrong.
And going by what I hear on media and this forum, MAGA seems to be going as strong as ever. So I think the polls are wrong.
@no1marauder saidRepublicans sure as heck don't deserve to win this, they botched every opportunity to show leadership. Mad at tariffs in the midwest? Don't blame Trump, blame your senator for abdictating his/her responsibility to look out for the best interests of the state.

Democrats on the other hand? I think putting Muslim socialists and DSA on the ballot is a mistake, even if they win. I think they have boring policies and uncreative solutions to important problems. I think when you see someone like Obama take the stage and completely dominate on the issues and problems that matter, you realize how much we don't have that anymore.
Compare that to Mr. Mumbles, who is out there talking on an on about men's butts on stage, a thoroughly wrecked economy, massive deficits, untractable wars, runaway inflation, and we're saying maybe he still has a chance of holding the senate?
Yikes. Dems should view anything less than a supermajority senate as a loss here.

@shavixmir saidI'm not sure if it's good or bad, but it's definitely bad, that there are more Americans who are placing bets on who will win the election than Americans voting in the election.

EDIT: nevermind I was reading that number wrong. There were $2 billion wagered on this election though.
@wildgrass saidVoting doesn't seem matter, honestly.

Republicans have done well with media; Trump announcing his diesel deal, blowing up the Alaska scandal; and now with a former Democrat backing a Republican, they dominate social media discourse.
Shav is most likely right, Republicans will narrowly hold on.
@no1marauder said51-49 seems a reasonable result. That would help keep Vance at home, too.

I can't even begin to guess the House totals, but 235-200 seems close.

@shavixmir saidI think waiting for the fat lady to sing is probably best. I thought Trump in 2016 was the most ridiculous candidate ever, but then not being American, what did I know?

@vivify saidMedia tricks win in a good economy but Republicans did everything exactly wrong for two years. A diesel deal is not flipping things. If Republicans stay in power it'll be because Democrats offered milquetoast.

@Soothfast saidIf the numbers I'm seeing hold up, I seriously underestimated the Blue wave. It's looking like a disaster for Republicans.

@no1marauder saidCertainly my prediction comes a bit late, and factors in a curious development in South Carolina where things are looking very good for the Democrat. I just want the Dems to get at least 52 seats in the Senate, because I don't think Fetterman can be relied upon.

Yes, this is going about as well (so far) as I had hoped.
