Canadians have free universal health care, Americans are NOT going to get that in Canada. A-duh! Of course wealthy Canadians dealing with terminal medical problems are going to do what they have to do to get the best care from whomever. Abortion is still legal and protected in Canada, so it will not be long until more Americans and others will be heading there. Yes, renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America will cost US taxpayers tens of millions of dollars (some estimates peg it at $200,000,000).

This is a textbook example of that government "waste, fraud, and abuse" that "conservatives" are always screeching about.

Everyone knows the executive order is illegal, and the international community does not recognize the name change. It's pure theater, and won't last a minute past the end of Trump's term in office (or expulsion). US presidents don't have the authority to name international bodies of water.

And then guess what? It will cost tens of millions of more dollars to reverse the ridiculous executive order—but reversed it will have to be in order for the US to put Trumpism behind it and someday cease to be a joke on the world stage.

Renaming Lake Ontario will also cost millions of dollars, and it also won't be recognized by anyone else and won't stick.

There really is no bottom to the moral, ethical, legal, humanitarian and ideological bankruptcy of the MAGA "movement."

You know who decides to rename Lake Ontario as Lake America? A petulant child who lashes out whenever the grown-ups in the world say "no" to him.

MAGA is basically done. It's only a question of how much hurt and damage it will do as it goes down.
