There's a lot that's unclear like who's going to come up with the estimated $100.billion in equipment and other costs needed to get these fields up and running. Supposedly it's not going to cost US taxpayers a dime according to the Donald but a US government agency is supposed to hold a 55% stake in the corporation given the contract AND a large share of the oil extracted is supposed to be sold to the US government at "production cost".

The economics don't seem to make sense to me.

Well hopefully they avoid the glaring inequity of Anglo Iranian oil deal where the Iranians were getting 16% of the nett profit, which led to Mossadegh and nationalization and the Shah and the Ayatollah's and still today, issues around the Strait of Trump.

Hopefully a win win deal can be struck.
