Sure. You asked for one thing where millions of people have benefited from a Trump promise. How about the Working Families Tax Cuts?
Trump promised no federal income tax on qualified overtime and tips, and those provisions became law. The IRS confirms that workers can deduct qualified overtime and tips from taxable income. Even SHouse knows that. Did you forget that?do you not follow the issue once again?
And this isn’t theoretical anymore. The administration reported that more than 29 million workers claimed the overtime deduction, nearly 8 million claimed the tips deduction, and nearly 40 million families claimed the enhanced Child Tax Credit. I think I said that right. Yess, I did.
So yes, you can argue about whether those policies are good or bad. That’s a legitimate policy argument. But saying ‘name one thing’ is simply not accurate. Did you go to debate school? Tit for tat?
And there’s an interesting standard being applied here: when Obama was wrong about ‘if you like your plan, you can keep your plan,’ your response is essentially, ‘but 20 million people benefited.’ Fine—that’s a valid argument for evaluating the overall effect of a policy.
But on the Forum 👏, apply that same standard to Trump. You can’t simultaneously excuse a broken promise because millions benefited and then demand proof that millions benefited from Trump’s promises. That’s moving the goalposts. Sue hates moving goalposts!
In short, No tax on qualified overtime and tips. Trump promised it, Congress enacted it, and the IRS is implementing it. Millions are already claiming the deductions—over 29 million for overtime alone.
So, you defended Obama’s broken ‘keep your plan’ promise by saying millions benefited from Obamacare. Fine. Then give Trump the same standard. You can’t say ‘the promise was wrong, but millions benefited’ for Obama, while demanding that Trump’s promises produce zero benefit before you’ll acknowledge them. Pick it up, Stillhouse reads this, too.

And while it's great to reduce everyone's taxes and claim you not just there for the uber rich, what does this actually mean? Trump is simply paying for these cuts by cuts to services and increasing the debt, which blows out sustainable growth as the US now spends more on debt interest payments than it does on the military. So the economy goes south for the majority and costs are up and in the sleight of hand of tax cuts the average Joe is being slugged more for the privilege of being alive even more than before. Yay!
